5/17 - State Playoffs - The Lady Warriors lost a tough 2-1 battle against Juab and fell into the 1 loss bracket. From there, SC showed resilience by defeating Morgan, Payson and Bear River, before bowing out with another loss to Juab.  Overall, a great season for the Lady Warriors. A fond farewell to 4 great seniors, Grace Walton, Ashlee Miller, Lauren Smith and Kenzie Reynolds. You will be missed.

 

5/6 - The Lady Warriors hosted Dixie in a pre-playoff exhibition game. They once again defeated the Dixie, this time 9-4. Sonya Hardy and Shelby Hutchings led the offense with 2 RBIs each.

 

5/2 - SC has secured third place in Region 9 and will be travelling to Tooele HS to take on Juab on Saturday May 10th, for round 1 of the 3A State playoffs. Game time is scheduled for 12:00 noon.

5/2 - The final Region 9 contest, The Lady Warriors came out on top of a 4-2 decision against Desert Hills. SC had homeruns by Sonya Hardy, Mada Mooring and Shelby Hutchings. Heather Prestwich got the W holding DH to just 2 runs on 3 hits.

 

4/28 - In a non region matchup, the Lady Warriors hosted Enterprise. SC stranded several runners and could not come up with any timely hits. Enterprise went on to win 3-0, wasting a solid pitching performance by Heather Prestwich.

 

4/25 - SC travelled north to battle the Lady Reds. In the rematch, SC gave up too many hard hit balls and too many errors to overcome and lost 14-9. The loss lnocked SC out of first place.

 

4/23 - The Swing for Life Tournament has been cancelled due to potential weather issues.

 

4/22 - SC hosted the Lady Flyers, looking for a little revenge, after last months untimely loss. This time the Lady Warriors were ready to go and defeated Dixie 9-1. Mada Mooring had a homerun while Ashley Miller had 3 hits and Sonya Hardy had 2. Heather Prestwich held Dixie to 3 hits.

 

4/16 - The Lady Warriors took on Hurricane and soundly thumped them, 17-2. Heather Prestwitch went the distance on the mound and Shelby Hutchings had three doubles.

 

4/15 - SC travelled across town and put a hurtin' on the Lady Panthers. SC bats exploded for 15 runs in the first two innings, effectively ending the game by the mercy rule. Heather Prestich got the win on the mound. Skylar Gates and Mada Morring each had doubles.

 

4/11 - The Lady Warriors couldn't shake off 6 errors and a couple of big Canyon View hits, taking the loss 8-3. SC remains in a tie for first place in the Region.

 

4/08 -SC travelled to Desert Hills and escaped with a 8-6 victory. SC hit the ball hard, but often right at the Thunder. The Lady Warriors made some costly errors during the game, but were able to rally for 3 in the top of the 7th to take the lead. Sonya Hardy came in to pitch in the 5th, shut the Thunder down and got the win.

 

4/01 - SC hosted Cedar and ended up with the 8-6 victory. Once again the Lady Warriors pounded out 13 hits on the day, highlighted by a run scoring triple from Skylar Gates and a line drive homerun from Shelby Hutchings. The win puts the Warriors back in the Region 9 lead.

 

3/28 - The Lady Warriors out hit Dixie 13-2, but couldn't get enough runs to pull off the victory. In the 3-2 defeat, the Warriors hurt themselves with several baserunning errors and Dixie made several outstanding defensive plays. On the day, Sonya Hardy was 4-4 from the plate and Shelby Hutchings had two hits and two RBIs.

 

3/25 - It was all SC as the Lady Warriors invoked the 15 run mercy rule, beating Hurricane 17-1 in 4 innings. The offense was led by Lauren Smith with a grand slam and Grace Walton with a pair of doubles. Lauren Brown also chipped in with a solo shot. Sonya Hardy went the distance on the mound, thowing a 1 hitter.

 

3/21 - Snow Canyon hosted Pine View in a Region 9 battle and came away with the 12-3 win. Pine View hurt themselves with several errors and the Lady Warriors were quick to take advantage. The big hit of the day went to Sonya Hardy who belted a triple. Pitcher Heather Prestwich was solid again on the mound, picking up her 5th win of the season.

 

3/18 - Lady Warriors take down Canyon View 5-3. Big hits from Mada Mooring and Lauren Smith paced the offense. Pitcher Heather Prestwich fanned 8, to pick up the region win. Next up vs Pine View, 4:00 pm Friday March 21 at Snow Canyon.
